Boeing X-43 - Fastest hypersonic aircraft in the world

Boeing X-43 - The pilotless experimental hypersonic flying machine constructed under the program of NASA of working out of the plane with direct-flow jet engine «Hyper-X». For conclusion to demanded speed and height it was used with Pegasus rocket. X-43A was developed for the purpose of speeds greater than Mach 7, about 8,050 km/h (5,400 mph) at altitudes of 30,000 m (100,000 feet) or more. On the third flight X-43A set a new record of speed - 12,144 km/h (7,546 mph), or Mach 9.8.
